We already got an early peek at the trailer, but Universal has finally issued a press release that breaks down everything that will be included in the E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial 30th Anniversary Blu-ray. The disc will include only the 1982 theatrical version of the movie, a Dolby Digital 7.1 surround sound audio track and two brand-new featurettes. Those include an interview with the director Steven Spielberg and a behind the scenes look in The E.T. Journals. There's also support for the pocket BLU remote app, Ultraviolet and standard Digital Copy, and more. It certainly seems to be a package befitting the fourth-highest performing movie of all time, check after the break for another look at the trailer and the full press release. It's already up for preorder on Amazon for $24.49, although we'll have to keep waiting for an exact release date.

If people in Native American communities find these images offensive then we should change those images. The NFL's Washington Redskins could easily be changed to the Washington Monuments or the Washington Red & Blue Stripes.? Adelante Oreg?n!

Ancient Indus civilization shaped by seasonal rains

Climate change may have determined the fate of the ancient world?s most expansive civilization. A new study suggests that the waning of monsoons spurred both the rise and fall of the Harappans, who flourished in the floodplains of the Indus Valley thousands of years ago. ?

Small floods driven by the rains nourished the crops of early cities but proved unreliable generations later, researchers report online the week of May 28 in the?Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

?The Indus people were a Goldilocks civilization,? says Liviu Giosan, a geologist at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts. ?They settled when the floods were just right, and then they disappeared when that window of opportunity disappeared.?

Giosan and his colleagues mapped the parts of western Asia inhabited by the Harappans using measurements made by the space shuttle Endeavour in 2000. An instrument onboard bounced radar signals off Earth?s surface and revealed subtle valleys, mounds and channels difficult to see from the ground, including the long-dry bed of a monsoon-fed river in desert that was once the heart of the Indus civilization.

Sediments unearthed and dated by the researchers showed a remodeling of the landscape over time. About 10,000 years ago, flooding rivers in parts of India, Pakistan and Afghanistan changed behavior as monsoon rains weakened. Instead of dumping loads of sediment that built up the land, the rivers began to cut out valleys.

New valleys next to increasingly mild rivers would have been fertile ground for human settlement. Starting about 5,200 years ago, cities sprang up in spots where small, regular floods would have watered farmlands.

?They were smart in picking sites with just enough water,? says Peter Clift, a sedimentologist at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and coauthor of the new study.

Conditions continued to dry, though, which would have made floods less frequent and therefore less reliable. That could explain why cities began declining about 3,900 years ago, says Clift. He and his colleagues report a trend toward smaller settlements developing after this time farther east, where monsoons are stronger.

But archaeologist Rita Wright of New York University cautions that blaming monsoons for the decline of the Harappans leaves out a very important element: the Harappans themselves.

?The Harappan farmers were well aware that the climate fluctuated,? Wright says. ?Over time, they developed a variety of ways to cope with their environment.?

Farmers in some cities might have found ways to deal with changing climate. Though the Indus people didn?t build irrigation systems like their contemporaries in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, they did cultivate a variety of different crops, some of which were more resistant to drought. They also raised animals for food and built massive water reservoirs.

To really understand how climate change played out in each city, says Wright, archaeologists will need to move beyond the big picture and dig up new clues.

Kevin Garnett had 18 points and 13 rebounds for Boston, and Ray Allen hit a pair of fourth-quarter 3-pointers after missing his first five attempts.

"Ray is the ultimate gunslinger," Rivers said. "That's what makes great players great. I was a basketball player someday, and I would have never taken that shot."

Pierce had 15 points and nine rebounds before fouling out with 4:16 left.

That's when Rondo took over.

The point guard, who had nine points and a playoff-low six assists in the Game 6 loss in Philadelphia, scored on a baseline drive and followed it up with a long 2-pointer (originally scored a 3) with 2:47 left. Then he made a 3-pointer with a little more than 2 minutes left to make it a 10-pont game and, after Brand scored on a tip-in, Rondo went to the line as the crowd chanted "M-V-P! M-V-P!" and hit a pair of free throws to leave Boston with an 80-70 lead with 1:44 left.

The Celtics will now face the actual NBA MVP ? LeBron James ? along with Dwyane Wade and the rest of the Heat. Miami advanced to the conference finals by eliminating the Indiana Pacers in six games.

?This trial allowed us to identify an evidence-based screening tool other than colonoscopy to reduce the number of new cases and deaths from colorectal cancer. Colorectal cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. However, flexible sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy are more sensitive than FOBT for detecting pre-cancerous polyps, which may be removed during the procedure to reduce the risk of colorectal cancer.

?The most effective screening test for colorectal cancer is the one people are willing to take. The results of this study may encourage more people to have colorectal screening with the less invasive and less expensive sigmoidoscopy," says Fouad.

In the PLCO trial, researchers compared the overall colorectal cancer mortality and incidence in the two groups (intervention and control) and also analyzed incidence and mortality according to the location of the cancers that developed. It's hard to believe something as utilitarian as a password manager has its diehard fans, but LastPass, our Editors' Choice winner for both free and premium ($1/month, direct) password managers, enjoys something of a cult following. Converts like myself swear by this tool?a Web service that securely stores passwords and login information, and automatically fills them in for you as you browse online.

LastPass Password Manager Premium (for Android) is only available to Premium subscribers, and lets you access your vault of saved logins and other login data on the go. It works with a built in browser based on the stock Android browser. However, the app is pretty unintuitive?if this app is your only incentive to upgrade to Premium, you'll want to reconsider. You can also give it a test drive for 14 days.

Getting Started
As a LastPass n00b, I had a rather difficult time getting started. When I first opened the app I saw a plain white page with an input box and the word "search" at the top. It turns out the search box was for searching saved logins and forms, but this assumes you've already set up LastPass. I found this odd?usually an app has a wizard or at least a step-by-step manual, especially for a relatively unintuitive service.

Finally I took the advice of a LastPass spokesperson and logged into my LastPass account through my desktop browser to get things started. Because this is a cloud-based service, LastPass quickly syncs your account information across both platforms.

LastPass centers on your Vault?a list of saved logins, notes, and other login details. You can add new information any time by filling in templates (called "Form Fill" profiles) and organize them into folders like you would with bookmarks.

The app does include some gems from the desktop-based service. Secure Notes lets you securely store alphanumeric notes?like a Social Security Number?and access them later through your Vault interface. You can enter templates with common login information, like your name and address and auto-complete this information when you encounter such a template. You'll also find a password generator that creates strong passwords for new online accounts.

A neat, mobile-only feature is the ability to use LastPass to log into your apps. Simply tap an input field to open the virtual keyboard, and then tap the LastPass icon (an asterisk). This auto-fills data for you.

The LastPass Browser Experience
When you use LastPass in a desktop browser, the service prompts you to save any new logins or accounts with LastPass. Furthermore, you'll find simple dropdown menus in your toolbar that make it even faster to grab data from various saved forms to complete online forms.

No such luxuries in the app. LastPass for Android lacks all the convenient prompts of its desktop sibling, and you're forced to use an impossibly clunky built-in browser to experience LastPass' auto-filling and login saving.

The LastPass browser is only accessible from within the password-protected app. It's tedious to use unless you're working in a tablet that's hooked up to a keyboard (in other words, a laptop). You tap into your Vault to launch saved websites with saved login information. You tap a couple times to enter a new website, and tap again to fill out a form that saves your login information.

Auto-filling only worked sporadically. The browser doesn't support Flash or geolocation services. Furthermore some mobile sites, like banking sites, don't even let you auto-fill information. I couldn't use this with my Chase account, for instance. It's just the way banks code their mobile websites, and you'll encounter the same problem in your stock browser. The safest workaround is to download your bank's app and use LastPass to log in.

Lastly, LastPass forces you to log in every time you want to use the app, and hence, the browser. I understand the security reasons behind this, and I know it's just one extra tap, or more if you didn't save your master password, but on a mobile device these extra taps feels like running extra miles. LastPass also offered a free plugin for third-party browsers like Dolphin HD and Firefox Mobile, although they're as tedious to use as the browser.

Needs Another Pass
LastPass for Android is a decent app for the security conscious, and you can't beat free, but at the moment it's far too unintuitive for the average user. This isn't reason enough to upgrade to Premium?yet. It isn't intuitive, and it lacks the awesome bells and whistles that make the desktop-based service an Editors' Choice for both free and paid password managers. LastPass will need to rethink its mobile app before it loses out to young, innovative players like Dashlane. mSecure Password Manager ($19.95/year, 2 stars) also offers an Android app for an additional $9.99, though I haven't yet tested it. RoboForm, 1Password. KeyPass, and others also provide mobile password managers.

'He's the best celebrity dance partner anyone could ask for,' his pro dance partner Peta Murgatroyd said.

Upon hearing his name called as the season 14 winner of ABC's hit show "Dancing With the Stars," Donald Driver stopped, dropped and rolled.

"Amazing! This is awesome!" he said, his fist punching the sky in excitement.

It was a sweet moment, considering that Driver, an NFL star, revealed that he's been a longtime fan of the show and had watched it since its inaugural season.

Driver ran around the ballroom dance floor and screamed his excitement, while rolling around on the floor after he found out he outscored classical singer Katherine Jenkins (Monday night's top scorer) and her partner Mark Ballas.

On Monday night, Driver and his partner, Peta Murgatroyd, danced the Argentine tango for their first dance, and head judge Len Goodman said he loved Driver's intensity. The other judges thought his storytelling through dance was moving. The three judges gave him one point shy of a perfect score for that round.

For the freestyle round, the Green Bay Packers wide receiver two-stepped to country music, which could have been a risk on the ballroom floor. The judges loved it, and Carrie Ann Inaba actually jumped up on the table and proclaimed, "This is my favorite dance of the season!" For that, Driver earned a perfect score.

As for Tuesday night's finale, he danced one last shirtless dance, for which the judges gave him another perfect trio of 10s. Len Goodman named him the best dancing footballer they've ever had on the show.

"He's the best celebrity dance partner anyone could ask for," Murgatroyd said before her partner was crowned the winner. "I was lucky."
